22nd Annual Green Engineering and Chemistry Conference
June 18-20, 2018 – Portland, OR
The Green Engineering and Chemistry Conference (GC&E) has been a meeting ground for advancing sustainable science and solutions for the last 21 years. The event is hosted by the American Chemical Society’s Green Chemistry Institute, is powered by leading thinkers in the field, and is supported by leading companies and organizations. The 22nd annual event will be will be held in Portland, Oregon June 18-20, 2018.
One of the unique aspects of GC&E is the mix of participants. Approximately 35% are from industry, 28% from academia, 15% are university students, 9% NGOs/NPOs and 7% represent the government. More than 500 participants from these various niches makes for perfect for networking.
Chemistry conference sessions range across the many areas green chemistry, as well as engineering. They touch on everything from organic synthesis to nanomaterials, and various industries to education.
Since 2016, the conference has been thematically tracking the chemical life cycle—from design to making to use to closing the loop. In 2018, the focus is on the use phase – connecting greener chemistry to the innovative products enabled.
