Name: William Doherty

Title: Chief Executive Officer

Mr. William H (Bill) Doherty joined Dixie Chemical in April, 2019 as Chief Executive Officer. Bill has been in the chemical and plastics industry for over 40 years. He started his career at GE Plastics, and then joined Axiall (formerly Georgia Gulf Corporation prior to the merger with PPG Chemicals Group) where he held various roles in the Company including Product and Business Management as well as General Manager and then Vice President of several divisions. He was then promoted to Senior Vice President and Corporate Officer of Axiall with responsibilities for all chemical and plastics operations, R&D, Procurement, Logistics, Specialty Division, Commercial and Planning functions. He also served as the Executive Vice President of the Lotte / Georgia Gulf Ethylene venture located in Lake Charles, LA. He has also served on several boards while at Axiall including TCI (Taiwan Chemical Industries) in Taiwan, and Axiall / Shriram based in New Delhi, India.

Bill earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Indiana Tech University, and has attended several executive programs at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Name: Mark Buckis

Title: Chief Financial Office

Mr. Mark Buckis joined Dixie Chemical as Chief Financial Officer in May of 2018. He brings over 15 years of business leadership experience in the chemical and building products manufacturing industries.

Before joining Dixie, Mark was the Vice President and Corporate Controller of Axiall Corporation (formerly Georgia Gulf Corporation) from 2003 through 2017. During his tenure with Axiall, he was involved in all aspects of accounting and financial management and served as interim CFO from June of 2007 through February 2008. Prior to joining Axiall, he worked for 13 years in positions of increasing responsibility in KPMG, LLP’s audit practice in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Saint Vincent College, Pennsylvania, and a Master’s of Business Administration in accounting and finance from the University of Notre Dame. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Name: Amy VanBerschot

Title:  Vice President of Manufacturing

Ms. Amy VanBerschot joined Dixie Chemical in January 2019 as Vice President of Manufacturing. Amy has a strong background in engineering and supply chain management and brings 20 years of consumer products and specialty chemicals experience to Dixie. She began her career with Unilever HPC with progressive responsibilities from chemical engineering to Operations Manager. Prior to joining Dixie Amy served as Plant Manager with Nalco Champion Energy Services.
Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master’s in Business Administration from William Woods University. She is responsible for Operations, Planning and Scheduling, Logistics, Engineering and Maintenance & Reliability.

Name: Karana Shah

Title: Vice President of Technology

Dr. Karana Shah joined Dixie Chemical in 2013 as Technical Services Manager and was promoted to Vice President of Technology in 2016. Prior to joining Dixie, she worked for Zoltek (Toray group), a global manufacturer of carbon fiber, where she supported advanced composites in the the Composite Intermediates product line. Products she worked on included pultruded profiles and prepreg. Dr. Shah also previously worked for Evonik Jayhawk Fine Chemicals as Technical Service Marketing Manager for Specialty Anhydrides, and for TAMKO Building Products as a Research and Development Engineer for thermoplastic advanced composites. Dr. Shah earned her BS and MS degrees in Chemistry from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, MI . She earned her Ph.D. in Polymer Composites from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI.

Name: Matthew Swenson

Title: Vice President of Thermoset Materials

Mr. Matt Swenson joined Dixie Chemical as Vice President of Thermoset Materials in June 2015.  His early experience in the thermoset composites industry stems from the fiberglass and cast polymer business his family owned in Minnesota.  He later transitioned from manufacturing to sales and business development for companies such as North American Composites, Owens Corning Fiberglass and Cook Composites & Polymers (CCP), a subsidiary of TOTAL S.A.  At CCP, he served as Director of Distribution, Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management, and as CEO of the CCP Canada manufacturing and distribution business.  He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a BS in Business Administration.  At Dixie Chemical Company he is responsible for sales and business management for thermoset materials, including composites, coatings, adhesives and sealants.

Name: William Snyder

Title: Vice President of Sales – Fuel and Lubricant

Mr. William (Buck) Snyder joined Dixie Chemical Company as Vice President of Sales of Fuel & Lubricants / Functional Fluids in December 2015.  Buck has a strong background in engineering; sales and marketing; and supply chain management with more than 20 years in the chemical industry.  Prior to joining Dixie, Buck served as National Account Manager at TPC Group, principally supporting the lubricant industry.  Prior to TPC Group, Buck served at Phillips Petroleum and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company with progressive responsibilities from chemical engineer, operations manager, and later sales and marketing for various commodity and specialty chemicals.  He served an overseas assignment in supply chain management for Saudi Polymers Company, a joint venture between Chevron Phillips and a Saudi Arabian investment company.  Buck is a graduate of the University of Tulsa with a BS in Chemical Engineering and MBA in Finance.  He is responsible for the sales and business management of Dixie Chemical Company products used in fuels, lubricants, and functional fluids.
